Evoshield A100Y Protective Chest and Back Guard Youth

I bought this for my son after first trying one of the cheaper "heart guard" chest protectors. It was much bulkier, uncomfortable, and brought a lot of unwanted attention from teammates and parents. The EvoShield chest/back guard looks cool, feels much more comfortable, and is barely noticeable under the uniform unless you're looking for it. My son is more confident in the field and at the plate with the added protection. I recommend it highly!

Pros: Form-fitting protection, hardly noticeable under uniform.

Cons: Expensive (but worth it!)

I like the construction of the shirt and the inserts are not messing around with protection. I thought my son would complain about comfort as the inserts are like hitting steel. He thought that was cool and I knew he was protected. So it was a win win with this product.

Pros: This is a well made product.

Cons: My son is a small 9yrs old and a Youth Med should fit him. The medium is very tight so I am not sure we can use it in the spring. We just bought it for kid pitch in the fall.

Extremely comfortable

My 9 year old son was hit by the ball in his first baseball game with live pitching. He got hit on his back and had trouble lifting up his arm. Someone recommended the evoshield and we ordered it so he had by the next game. He was hit again but was wearing the evoshield and didn't feel it nearly as bad as the first time. It's a great product especially if your kid is just starting to play ball since the pitches are wild and unpredictable at that age.

My son(8 years old)wears this and he loves it. Very comfortable and he says he doesnt know its on. The front chest gueard broke(not when hit), but when I called the company they sent me a new one no questions asked. Now thats customer service and a company that stands behind there product. New one is great. Will definently buy another shirt when/if it wears out.

My daughter was hit by a pitch in the first game this season. We ordered the evoshield and as soon as she started wearing it she started staying in the batter's box again. Plates are easy to insert and remove for washing. Would defintely buy again.

This is a great product to protect yourself while playing baseball. My son loves his and it forms right to his body and allows him to barely notice he is wearing it.
